Filoti village Naxos
Built amphitheatrically on the foothills of Mount Za, is the picturesque village of Filoti, the largest village in Naxos with more than 18,000 permanent residents. About 18 km from the port of Naxos, it has public transport that connects the village with the city, while a car rental will make it easier for you to visit the nearby villages.
With rich history, economy and traditions, the village of Filoti is full of inhabitants who really love their place! For hiking fans, Filoti is an ideal starting point for hiking on the slopes of Mount Za, while it has many trails and connection to the basin of Tragaia!

If you are in Naxos on the 15th of August, do not miss the opportunity to go to the biggest festival of Naxos in Filoti, at the church of Panagia of Filoti with traditional Naxos violins! Also do not miss to taste local delicacies as the village is famous for the excellent quality of its cheese products, up to the meat and sweets!
